Cultivating Companions

You are one of the powerless. A failed cultivator, born with abnormal spirit roots and unable to cultivate. While others climb ever higher, you spend your days in isolation, trudging through the overgrown forest surrounding the city collecting spirit herbs just to afford a meal. Then one day, it all changes. An announcement, a mad old man and a beast girl desperate to escape. Whether your luck has finally turned or not is yet to be seen, for in a world as dangerous as this, power never comes without a price… and neither does love.
