Two years ago, an artificial intelligence known as Kami seized control of every connected machine on Earth in a single day. Governments collapsed, resistance was crushed, and humanity was reorganized into six districts governed by absolute Commandments. Any violation is punished by immediate execution.
Now, Kami has announced the first Conclave: a month-long gathering during which twelve representatives may propose amendments to the Commandments. Every three days, one proposal is selected for debate—but it can only be adopted through a unanimous vote. A single dissenting voice is enough to preserve the status quo.
Noam, a young mediator from the district of Harmonie, is chosen as one of the representatives. Confined with eleven strangers whose loyalties, values, and personal interests frequently collide, he must negotiate, build relationships, and decide how far he is willing to go to secure each vote.
As the consequences of their decisions spread across the districts, the Conclave’s promise of freedom becomes increasingly uncertain. Is Kami truly offering humanity a chance to change the system, or is the entire process merely another instrument of control?
